About Allan Hendry

The SNP have chosen local man Allan Hendry to represent them. Allan has been actively involved with local issues whilst serving with his Community Council for some years.

Allan has been married to Aileen for 43 years and they have two grown-up children and four young grandchildren. They have been resident in Balmedie for the past 19 years.

Allan is from a Military and Police background from which he recently retired.

Allan is currently a serving member of Belhelvie Community Council and is the Police liaison member for them.Allan is also the organiser of the Ellon Branch of the SNP and a busy community activist.

Allan is the coordinator of and actively engaged in the campaign to 'Reinstate Our Army Regiments' formerly Save the Scottish Regiments campaign.

Allan is a member of the Royal British Legion Scotland, The Scots Guards Association and The Retired Police Officers Association and The International Police Association.

Allan is semi-retired but if elected will be a full time councillor.
